Dr. Phil has 19 year old molester on show

I don't watch Dr. Phil, but I have been looking at his website for advice since I will probably be getting a divorce soon :(

Well, I am very upset because it appears that he had a child molester (19) on the show along with his parents and Dr. Phil got him to admit certain things after a 3 hour polygraph. He finally admitted to molesting his sister and raping under age girls--I am too upset to go into too much detail (see http://www.drphil.com/show/show.jhtm..._polygraph.xml ) .

My question is this, tell me this kid will be arrested. He will right?

My husband has accused me of being too liberal, but even I don't think this kid should be free at all right now. I do not believe molesters can be rehabilitated.

I hope he gets arrested. :mad:

He did not get arrested. He is in an inpatient treatment center.

Dr. Phil explains that the show reported the family to Child Protective Services. "That's a requirement," he tells Brad and Kenda, who were kept abreast of the situation.

"We didn't have a problem with it," Brad says.

"We've talked to the state. We've talked to Child Protective Services. We've talked to law enforcement," Dr. Phil continues. Dr. Phil introduces Dr. Frank Lawlis, chairman of the Dr. Phil advisory board, who arranged the treatment for Mikai, and will remain a liaison between the family, Mikai's treatment center and the therapist that Brad and Kenda will see. He shares his findings. "Mikai was very positive in terms of making another step," Dr. Lawlis says. "He has some sense of satisfaction that he is stepping up to the challenge, and is apparently gaining a lot from this treatment

Don't rely on Dr. Phil for any real life advice. His show is for entertainment, as the episode you have mentioned clearly shows. Find a real counselor and you will be a lot better off.
