    pulling over

I've never been pulled over before and hope I never do. But I always worry about where I should pull over if I'm ever in that situation. I know your supposed to pull to the right side of the road, thats not the confusion. I'm wondering, what if (in the rare and unlucky occasion) there is almost no shoulder if any to pull over onto. Would I just get as far to the right as possible and stop (even if that meant blocking traffic.......I think that would be pretty dumb honestly) or just slow down and wait until there's a shoulder or a lot I can pull into. But I also wouldn't want to get the officer mad if he thought that I was refusing to pull over. I would think that for the safety of both the officer and myself that the second action would be better. What do you guys think and do you run into this problem often? Thanks

    ^^^^^^^What he said.

If I don't like where you stopped, I'll tell you to move.

Ditto to above. If you don't feel comfortable stopping for the vehicle at that location, put your 4 ways on and maintain a safe speed until you get to a place to pull over.

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards wont get away this time

In most cases a LEO will pick HIS spot as to where he would like to stop you. I for one...will drive for miles to make sure the surrondings are safe for me..before I even crack the lights on..So if you see red and blue..pull to the right as soon as reasonibly possible...
Stop in and say hi when your passing through, I always have a cold kokanee in the fridge!!

I agree, if you absolutely feel there is a problem, pull as far to the right as possible, turn on your hazards, and don't give the officer any reason to believe you don't intend to pull over. I know you say it is dumb, but people stop in the road for me all the time. Its dangerous, but if they stop there I will decide if I want to deal with them there or I will direct them over the PA to a safer spot.

Okay, good to know. I figure its better to be prepared than to be driving down a busy street not knowing what the heck to do. Thanks guys (and girls).
