I also am an Eagle scout, First team all League Football player/one of the captains on my HS team, good SAT scores, Going to a good college, etc.

Look, police departments won't hire people who smoked weed that much. They won't hire people who abused prescription drugs. They won't hire people who lie to them about this kind of thing. They do a very extensive background investigation. Call friends, family, teachers, thw works. Then there is the lie detector test. You screwed up ever becoming a cop with your bad choices. Sometimes life doesn't work out the way we all hope, and you are going to have to deal with the fact that yours won't. You won't become a cop ever. Start looking for other careers.

True, it doesn't mean that you are a bad person. Maybe you've changed over the years, I don't know...

But what you've done does show a lack of maturity, responsibility, integrity, moral and ethics!

You can't change the past, what's done is done, admit your mistakes, learn from them and move on. Everyone makes mistakes. However, your mistakes are a disqualifier for law enforcement.

Law enforcement is not appropriate for you. Try something else..

You asked a question. You got answers from rea, live, reputable police and you are ARGUING and trying to justify yourself!!

You got your answer. We can't help it if you don't like it, but you have no-one to blame but yourself.

By all means, if you have the free time, apply to some PD's. They WILL find out about your drug use, whether you tell them or they find out for themselves. Either way, you have no future in policing. Accept it, move on.
