    baja lights

i recently bought 4 baja OFFOROAD 150w halogen lights for my roll bar on my truck.

    they came with plastic covers.

my question is do i have to keep these covers on the lights while im on public roads, because the covers look really stupid on the lights.

can i be issused a cite for driving with uncoverd offorad lights on public roads assuming that they are turned off

What Samuel means is yes, they must be covered and turned off while driving.

How do you guys handle these new SUV's that come from the factory with 4 overhead lights that don't have covers. Right now I can't think of the make or model.

Since they are factory and I am going to assume that it's all DOT approved it overrides any state laws regarding lighting.

I assume that you mean the Jeep Liberty. Every one that I've seen here in PA has had covers on the lights. Maybe they send them without depending on the state.

And in response to the initial question, in PA all off road lights are required to have an opaque cover on them while on the highway and can not be lit.

Yep, that's the vehicle and I could not think of the name. Here in MN they are shipped without covers.
