I don't have a problem with the inspection sticker but I hate the closeness of the 04 and 06 registration sticker.

Ohio did away with inspection stickers years ago, and we are a 2 plate state.

If the license plate is propped up in the rear view window then it is in violation and it is also not going to comply with:

(f) A taillamp or a separate lamp shall be constructed and
mounted to emit a white light that:

(1) illuminates the rear license plate; and

(2) makes the plate clearly legible at a distance of 50 feet
from the rear.

And as stated before by others, if it is dark I will check the inspection as I make contact with the operator of the vehicle. Otherwise in daylight I will check it as vehicles go by. The same applies to registration stickers.

I always check the inspection after I have spoken to the driver and obtained their info. Expired is $105.50 .

If the GVW of the vehicle is over 17,000 lbs , the fine is $100-$500.

FWIW, I showed this thread to my coworker today and she about had a heart attack. She called to make an appointment with her mechanic as soon as she read it to get her car inspected. :D

All the answers in the thread were greatly appreciated, but since mcsap and I both reside in PA, his post was definitely helpful, and a real eye-opener for my coworker! :D
