    Chicago PD

I am year year away from graduation with my Bachelor's in CJ. I plan on applying for Chicago PD. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me important info about the department. Chicago is my first place I would like to go, but if it does not happen the U.S is my playground. Thank, Dan

I looked at there Website and they do not really give you much infor about hiring anytime soon, so I'm wondering about that. I have heard they help with housing is that true? How long does there hiring process take? What have you experience with the department been like? Thanks for any info you can provide me!

The next test probably won't be till the end of the year since there was just one a few months ago. The process takes anywhere from 10 months to two years. They are not going to help you with housing unless you are an actual officer with the CPD and even that is limited with the "Officer next door" program. I have had lots of experiences with the department and like severe said, if you have any specific questions, I will be more than happy to answer them.
