The NYSP for example has a Computer Crimes Unit. I assume (but am not certain) that it consists mainly of sworn officers - investigators. I imagine there are civillians empoyed as well. I am wondering what kind of technical experience a Trooper for example would need before being considered as a transfer to some such unit. Do they provide technical training to officers in this unit?
