LE's in possession of drugs

What happens when you arrest someone for possession of drugs, after it's used for evidence in the court, is it used in UC sting operation, or is it terminated?



I mean like Marijuna, Crack, XTC, Heroin etc.

When I got a tour of the police station last explorer mission, they said they sent it to a place to be burned, but I'd imagine they'd have some for stings, dunno

In Missouri we are required to get a Judge to issue a destroy order and it is then usually burned. In any event it is destroyed.

Make it legal, sell it and pay the taxes.

Use the money to buy new squad cars so you don't have to plaster them with ads instead to raise the funds.


We NEED money. To the point that we cheapen ourselves and put ads on cars.

We HAVE all this potential revenue, being destroyed.
For every bag that is destroyed - another dealer DIES in the efforts to replace that bag, bring it into our country, and sell it on the streets to KIDS, where it could have PCP in it.

All this....rather than make it legal - sell it to adults, put dealers out of business, ensure it's "clean"(no PCP), regulate it like alcohol, tax it, and sell it only to people 25 or older...or 30 or older...whatever.


But I'm just another nobody with no power to make things happen. All I can do is vote like the rest of my state and PASS Prop 215......to no avail.

My view on illegal drugs -

Anyone cought growing/making drugs = death
Anyone cought smuggiling them = death
Anyone cought selling them = death
Anyone cought buying them = life in prison
Anyone cought using them = life in prison

There should be MUCH HARSHER laws concerning drugs.

You have never experimented? That's wonderful if you haven't, but unfortunately, drugs are pretty prevalent around here, so a lot more people have just tried it.

Actually, not quite. Sure, it has hallucinogenic properties but it's primary function is a combination of speed and heroin.

They take XTC, as a pill usually, and then 1-2 hours later they feel "high". They get energy and feel all dreamy and "lovey"(so to speak). They look really stupid and their eyes roll back into their head. They sit there and say "I love you" to total strangers...worse than a drunk. And yes, sometimes they can "see" stuff, too.

But just to clear that part - it's not taken with the intentions that hallucinogens like acid or mushrooms or peyote or PCP are.

Whereever you have a DANCEclub, especially in the cities, you can bet your butt that over 33% of the people inside are drugged on XTC. Dangerous stuff. Not only is it bad for you, when I see people on it I think they look and act like morons, and loose ALL respect for them.

P.S.: It kills the natural "happy ability" you have, too.

OKAY - can someone please explain this to me? Is this some sort of invisible senorship?

What are the grounds? What part of my post is "not permitted"?

Is there a set of published rules that serve as a guidline for what is and what isn't permitted?

I would think that as cops - you of all people have to be prepared for ANYTHING. The simple idea of STIFLING any conversation between adults seems rather odd and anti-productive...

Oh I didn't see this till just now.

I think that drug topics are discouraged here. Not questions and answers such as "what is ______" but discussions surrounding the whole drug culture thing. You know, the whole legalize drugs thing.

They are pointless, bring all kinds of trash to the forums and are just a platform for those who want to use.

I have never seen a specific rule regarding this, but it seems sort of an unspoken rule.

V, I am not explaining myself well, I know, but hopefully you will believe me when I say that as a person who frequents quite a few LE web sites and message boards that it is WISE to prohibit drug discussions.
