I beeped my horn at a man walking in a store parking lot (he was walking EXTRA slow) and it turned out to be a cop.
He was only wearing his uniform pants (guess he just got off duty). He gave my a dirty look.
Do you think he hates me?

Some interesting posts from lawintothyhands, all from diff threads:
Hello,
I sold an item on an auction website and shipped it out promptly after receiving payment. The person that bought the item claims nothing was received. The day before this person claimed nothing was received, I checked the status of the delivery online and it showed status completed. With that information on hand, I threw away the physical piece of paper showing what date I shipped the item.
This person wants the item OR a refund which I can understand. But I don't have the money for a refund. If the person didn't pay extra for insurance, am I obligated to give him a refund. It seems once I shipped the item and it showed that it was received, I'm no longer the person to complain to.
How should I correct this problem? Will the police get involved in this if the person decides to turn nasty? He paid by money order if that matters.
Do you think fraud is rampant like how companies and LE agencies claim it to be? Or is it blown out of proportion?
How many claims of fraud and/or postal inspector get in a month? A year? How do they choose which cases to pursue? Of course they can't actively pursue every claim.
I'm not applying to be a police officer, but I'm searching for a job right now.
The applications ask if I had any prior convictions, misdemeanor or felony. The answer is no, but I am fighting a case.
Am I wrong for putting down no. If they do a background check, will it show up that I'm currently fighting charges?
If it does show up, that's not fair because I can be cheated out of a job even though I'm innocent until proven guilty.
