Hello,
What happens if someone is interrogated by police (takes his identifications), but that individual doesn't hear from the police for a week or so??
Thanks,

nothing happens, until the police contact him again!
The sun continues to rise and set for a week or so.
Never be afraid to make a difference
There is a big difference in an Interview and an Interrogation. If they (you) were interrogated, you are under investigation. Nothing happens until the person is arrested or cleared.
What did you do? :p
You can be interviewed while being investigated. An interrogation is accusatory in nature opposed to an interview which is not.Originally Posted by Star
Yes, he is right. I didn't elaborate. You can be interviewed when you are or are not a suspect, for purposes of obtaining information for the investigation.Originally Posted by SeVere
What is the scenario for the project?

well the scenerio for my project is that we were asked to think and be like a criminal and create fake scenerios in which one can be interrogated/arrested. And then from this, decide if we're going to be arrested or not. This is one of my groups scenerio: Being interrogated (in which we are asked for I.D. , asked what we are doing in the specific location, and that someone had a complaint about one of us) We explained the situation to the officer, and why it could be a misunderstanding. The scenerio leads into the police escorting us out of the location and leaves. The police have to speak with the one who had the complaint.
If we do not hear from the police for a week or so, what does that mean..?
My group and I don't really know if we should let the suspect be cleared, or arrested.
Thanks for the help,

Are you sure this is a scenario?
One Big Ass Mistake America
Before you could make a decision on if you would arrest or not, your scenario would need to come up with a specific complaint, to establish the severity of the investigation. Does the victim of the complaint/crime want charges filed. If you add these details to your project you will get a better grade and be able to come up with some sound reasoning in your decision making.

I agree w/her. You definately need more details in the scenario to make it more realistic and easier for us to focus an answer on..Originally Posted by lindat2957
