In Massachusetts; arrested and brought to station; read rights, booked and jailed for several hours. There were video cameras in the booking area as well as the cell. My question: What is the length of time that the police are required to preserve that video, and where is it kept?....Thanks...

Virginia has mandatory retention periods. You can see them on the Library of Virginia website. Don't know if Mass. is the same.

We keep records/video for 7 years...
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

Call the department and ask them. Depending on the purpose of the camera, they may not even be recorded.
