"I'd rather be hated for who I am than Loved for who I am not"
we don't clean bodily fluids. we down the car and call in a commercial haz-mat clean-up company.
We are not trained nor are we properly equipped. The station or jail does not have adequate haz mat dumping areas either.
We have a cleaning company handle it.
Car cleaning company
A snout has told me he's got a set of nostrils, so go and get a W so we can spin his drum to see if he's got any monkey gear - The Sweeney.
we are trained and have a hazmat site etc. Usuaully if there is something in my car that the suspect put there He is cleaning it out.

lol…….were lucky to find hand sanitizer in the car!
If it's piss, puke, turds or blood. Car or Station van.
If it's in the van I personally get the hose out and flush it all out at our stables (they've got the drains to handle it).
If it's in a car, call in the company to do it.
It can take anything from 6 hours to 6 weeks to get it collected & cleaned, so you see why I will get messy & use the hose.

What about those that have to do both?
BMW R1200RT, the flying, heated 300kg armchair.
If they are bleeding...they do not get in our cars. Period. They go in a ambulance.
If they are drunk and going to puke....they go in an ambulance.
If they crap or piss themselves....we clean it. Scrub brush and soap and water and bleach. Our seats come out. These items are not considered bio-hazard and just need proper cleaning agents and materials. Besides...their clothes get the worst of it of the do that. There is nothing to really clean-up as per say "wipe-down."
How many times has a car had to be cleaned that I am aware of? NEVER. Yes....never! Like I said...if they look like they are going to be spilling any fluids...we send them to the hospital. They can do that stuff in the bus or at the hospital. Many would question that, but here....not many ride in a police car...and those who do....play by the rules.
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.
Same with us, anything left behind is my repsonsiblity to clean up.Originally Posted by fatboyjim154

I tell my prisoners that if they dirty my car, I will be using their shirt to clean it up.

In my dept. we are issued inmates at the county jail to clean our cars.
