If I have a chance to speak to the Judge I'm going to tell him I will gladly give him my license for the rest of my life. I'll honestly do anything I can, or anything they will allow me to do instead of going to jail, for even 10 days. I don't want to be that type of father to my baby. If I have to go there, I don't think I'll be able to let my daughter come to see me. I'm scared, but I can only blame myself. Thanks for your comments Star, God bless.
I wouldn't have cursed you out, hon. I am here for you. I understand you had a problem and you are working on it. I am on your side, no doubt. I admire people like you who turn their life around. I'll help anyway I can. You are doing a great job on your own right now. That deserves much respect. Blessings to you, as well, and reps for you. Call on me if you need something.

Just got back from an AA meeting, my stomach/nerves finally allowed me to eat a little bit, so sorry I didn't respond earlier.

    coucousis,
Thanks for your humbling words, I too believe people should face the law when they break it. If the Judge sees fit to put me behind bars, I'll still thank him and apologize for my actions. Thank you for responding to me.

    K-911,
If you don't mind, could you elaborate on the difference between those two types of courts? Also, to answer your question I live in Greenville, South Carolina. Thank you also for responding.

    And Star,
You seem like such a kind hearted person and your words really touch my new-found heart. I'll be re-reading your post for comfort and peace knowing that there's people out there like you who can reach out to a stranger, even in my situation, the wrongs that I've done, and offer warm thoughts. God bless you, and all of you who visit this forum and put your life on the out there. Thank you dearly Star, and again, God bless you, and if there's something I can do for you, please let me know. I'm in school for computers, so if you ever have any questions or trouble I'd love to help you.

Thanks all for conversing with me here, and goodnight.

    Ryan

Municipal court is used for misdemeanor offenses that. In municipal court you cant be fined any more than $1000 or 30 days in jail. That is the cut off. Any offense that carries more time or cash than that is bumped up to circuit court ( also called general sessions court ).

Hey Ryan, pm me your email. I'd like to stay in touch besides on this forum to hear your progress. I'm going to keep a notepad on it so I can shove it up some inmates noses. I can post it here later on down the line, if you wish. It's inspiring and I am sure, will serve to help others.

Just for your information, I have a sister who basically was a dirtbag from age 14. I raised her daughter which was hard because we grew up together but I never replaced her with children of my own for her sake. She deserved the attention for lack of it from her mother. I had to arrest my own sister twice, Myer Act her one time and Baker Act the next (drunk and crazy!). I didn't feel a bit sorry for her. I do now though, she's turned her life around and has been clean for the past four years. I'm very proud of her. We're actually sisters again. I'll carry her, if need be. Point of post, tell your family you need their support more now than ever and you will do your best to reciprocate. Keep that faith in yourself.

Okay, thank you. That explains alot. I was wondering why I didn't have to go to a circuit court when I got my second DUI when I was 20 or 21. The Officers and Judge felt sorry for me and seen me as the decent, but idiotic kid I was, instead of a reckless defiant criminal I suppose and charged me with DUI 1 instead of DUI 2, thus keeping me out of circuit court. Too bad I let them down. Thanks for your response K-911.

I've been talking to you in PMs, but just wanted to respond to you here again, saying thank you dearly for your kindess, and I can respect your resolve that you've shown in the dealings with your own past problems. Glad it all worked out.
