Attempted Rape

I probably can't do anything about this but it may have happened to someone else. We hike on PE, I know it isn't safe. This was in the early 80's.
I got a drive with a neighbor, he had 4 friends with him. They didn't go where I wanted to go and took me down a side road. I knew what was going to happen, didn't know what to do though. We got to a side road off the main road and we stopped. They were all laughing saying who would go first, Then I picked one. I was sceared. still didn't know if I was going to get out of it without getting raped. This neighbor took me into a wooded area and we landed on the ground. I knew I had to do something, didn't want it to happen. I told the guy my dad has a gun and he'll kill you if you rape me. I told him my dad was crazy-he'll kill you. He didn't want to get into trouble and let me go..........I took off running into the woods or road and walked home. I didn't tell my dad or no-one. Could they have been charged?
