    NYPD Character Review

I am a 32 yr old NYPD candidate who has to meet with my investigator for character review. Let me just say that I was not your model citizen I was arrested twice as a youth 1 for joyriding the other for fighting (paid a fine). When I became an adult I was arrested when I was 18 years of age for drunk and disorderly(paid a fine). At 21 I was arrested for fighting;disturbing the peace(paid a fine). When I was 28 I was arrested for fighting; disturbing the peace(paid a fine) When I was 30 I recieved a summons for damage private property (paid a fine.) I also was terminated for not meeting company expectations( I was a salesmen in an accounting department). However, I never taken any drugs I have been teaching in an elementary school for a year and I am a leader of a Christian Youth group. I am also enrolled in college and currently have 100 credits. I know I had a checkered past and I don't deny it. If I knew then what I know now things would be different but it's not. I am more grounded now based on my Spirituality and family. I am asking for some advice because I feel I am at a crossroad.

I don't work for NYPD but...I doubt my department would hire you.

That's a lot of baggage to be carrying....but you never know. If the bi thinks you've gotten your self together, you might get lucky. But I wouldn't give my two weeks notice just yet.
