Non 911 Phone Call

Two phone calls were placed to the general information line to sheriffs department in an unicorporated area. A noise complaint about a neighbor was the purpose. The first call the dispatcher noted there had been prior calls and units were enroute. 45 minutes later no change noted from neighbor. A second call placed to the non-911 line. This time a different dispatcher said there was nothing they could do unless I gave them my personal contact info and sign a complaint. Incorrect info was given to dispatcher. On site units go to another residence looking for complaintant to sign paperwork. This resident denies making complaint. Three units responded. The noise continuing while deputies tried to find original complaintant. Unable to find, they proceed to noisy residence and noise subsides.
"Filing a false police report" comes to mind. What to expect from this point please. Severe guilt and humiliation are quite evident. Thank you for your time.

Not filing, unless it can be proven. Just calling is not proof. Unless the Deps stay there, listen and wait to see if the caller calls again with no noise present. I would advise the Complaintant to obtain process.

Rather than be cryptic, just tell us what happened. You called the non-911 number and complained about music? twice? And the second time you lied to the dispatcher?

And if I got that right, what is the question for us?

You lied and blamed it on your neighbor? Because you were scared of retaliation from the noisey neighbors? Just call and report what you were afraid of without intent of filing a false report. I am sure they will clear everything up for you and your guilt will subside.
