Question for NC

First off Hello. I am new to the forums and I need to ask a question.

I moved from AL to NC while in AL I had a concealed weapons permit. It is still currently active but I do not use it seeing than I am a NC resident. I am not for sure if it is still in effect.

Upon doing research in obtaining a NC concealed weapon permit I realized that I need to take an approved safety course. Does anyone know where this course is offered? I live in Hickory and would think that someone would offer it either here or in the Charolette area. I called the local P.D but they did not know who offered the class.

The Sheriff of your County must approve any CCW. Check with them, and they will tell you everything you'll need to know. Each Sheriff has different standards and discretion.
