    Has this happened to you.....?

For you fellow LEO's, has this ever happened to you??

This morning I was traveling on the Garden State Parkway in NJ in my personal vehicle. I had a guy in a Mercedes riding my ***, so just as I moved over for him. There was a car in the left lane still so he moved into the same lane with me, and then proceeded to PASS me on the shoulder at a very high rate of speed.

For a split second, I totally forgot I was in my personal vehicle and thought I was in a patrol car. I got into a mode as if I were going to perfrom a traffic stop, then i realized I wasn't in a patrol car....it was a very strange and frustrating feeling, I really wanted to pull this jerkoff over for driving like he did.

Have any of you ever felt this sensation?

    very weird!!

The closest I've ever got to something like that was reaching up to the steering column for the shifter in my POV.

Never felt like I was in a patrol car while in my POV...
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

No, that never happened to me. I just wished at that moment I was in my patrol vehicle. I would have gotten his tag number and mailed him a ticket though.

It's almost even worse for me. Since I'm an Asst. Chief at a rescue squad, I have emergency equipment in the vehicle. I really want to kick on the strobes, wig wags and siren and nail their ***, but I bite my lip and keep driving. If it's something real bad (immediate risk to safety), I'll call on the phone for local PD and keep following at a safe distance. ;)

Lol, maybe that was the feeling I had today, more of a "wish i was" than anything else. It was so fast though.....kinda went like this...

Yep, sometimes I start riding their tails to read the tag and then realize that the effort isnt worth it, but keep in mind I am still a rook.

Once or twice on the Palisades Parkway when I first started. I now just try to grab the tag and call NYSP or the PIP Police.

That's what I do the most. Mostly I get mad, wondering why I only see the stupid people in my POV.
