My cities budget has about 4% allocated from tickets. It's a law here in Missouri that a municipality can only keep 49.5 percent of whatever fines they collect and must send the rest to the state.
I stop cars for doing dangerous things, licensing issues and an excuse to do a little investigatin'.

I just wrote my 100th ticket today and got the free toaster!!!
I hate hearing this BS about ticket revenue. I share a car with 11 other people and write tickets all day long.

Yeah I know here in town theres quite a few officers who share the same car. I just wasn't sure how most of the countrys agencies operate. I know here, they dont see very much at all of the money from citations.
