    Vest Question...

What type of undershirt do most of you wear under your vests in hot/cold weather?

This past summer I wore the Short Sleeve Under-Armor shirt that is supposed to keep you cool. I worked really well, but my problem was that my vest kept sliding around on the undershirt with the smooth material (even with the tails on the carrier to tuck in). I didn't like that feeling at all, and prefer my vest to move as little as possible.

Can anyone suggest a good shirt for hot/cold weather that won't cause my vest to be all over the place?

    thanks

    Underarmor is the BOMB!!!

In the winter I just wear a v-neck t-shirt so the white collar isn't showing when I wear a tie.

I prefer the moving around bit. It was weird at first, but I like it better now.

I agree, it made it feel like I wasn't even wearing a vest at all.

I can see what you mean about the vest moving. I bought the Underarmor towards the end of the summer, so i didn't really get to experience it that much. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time. Good way to look at it!

    thanks

I wear the under armous short sleeve. I plan on buying the cold gear as well. That stuff is great. My vest moves a little, but not enough to bother me during shift. It breathes a whole lot better than the cotton t's I was wearing before. ;)

The little bit of movement is worth the comfort with Underarmor.

I wear the under armor knock off from wally world and prefer the vest to slide around. Wearing cotton may keep the vest from sliding around. One can maneuver much better when their underclothes slide around under the uniform.

I own under armor and wally world brands and they are both the same. No different wear and tear issues or anything. Just $15 cheaper.

Exactly the point, I especially like the under armor boxerbriefs when i'm doing bike patrol. I like the compression and support they give, they are very cool.

Plus they feel SOOOOOO good. :D

Yep, I spent around seven bucks on each shirt and six on each under short. The other rookies spent around thirty on each under armor shirt; OUCH...

Anyone got a link to these so called "wally world" brand shirts? I'd like to give them a shot.

    Thanks

Not sure about any other state but in NC Wally World is slang for Wal-mart

I think the brand at wal-mart is athletic works. They look, feel and wear just as the under armors do. Here they are right by the tshirts and socks.
