    Drunk

I live in a small apartment building in Charlottetown, PE. I usually have to call the police on one of my neighbors downstairs. Thank god I don't live next to her. Last time I called I went downstairs to take the garbage out and she was lying on the floor close to the entrance. I went over to see if she was breathing. She was passed out. Their are a few children in the apartment building and I figured I better try to get her moved. I called to her and she frankly told me where to go. ....Anyway I told her I would have her removed, she said go ahead....so I did. My husband wrote a letter to our landlord and we are trying to get her avicted. It is the fourth time this has happened. Sometimes drunks come to the back door and pass out, or just keep banging when she is not home. Any suggestions on how I could get her evicted. Writing the complaints doesn't seem to be doing any good. A lot of your calls must be for the same I would think. Charlottetown is only a small town and we sure have a lot of drunks here. They can't help it though, it is sad but in the winter time they are glad to go to jail and have a warm place to sleep. Have a good shift....! and keep up the good work.....ladies and gents....

If it's anything like the US, the landlord will have to start the eviction process. You may be better off looking for a new place to live.

yes, I think I will follow up on this matter with the Native Council-that's who we rent from. They are too easy on their tenants. Most tenants would be gone in a matter of a month. I am part Native, French, and Irish-been renting from the Council for about ten years. They are good to us. They have even helped us start up our own business after I worked on getting our proposal done. Any it is sad the woman is in her late fifties, real nice when she is sober. Police usually take her home stitched up. Last month she has quieted down a bit. When she is drinking she snaps at the kids. I hate to move (low income housing.) Her son is getting mad at us for calling the police and trying to get her evicted- but, he does not scare me.

What does your ethnic makeup have to do with anything? Also this is not a police matter, and does not belong in ask-a cop.

I guess if they get arrested enough and sit in jail or have to pay fines, that will mean less time and or money to go drinking.
