    Brings to mind a story:D

We used to frequent this little bar. (before it was sold and became a daycare) Usual microbrew sort of place, pool tables in the back.

There were 4 officers, wives and friends at one big table. We'd been there for a few hours and were having a great time.

In walks two guys wearing trenchcoats with something hidden underneath. Something about as long as a pistol grip shotgun.

Every officer at the table slid his chair back and cleared their gun side together.

The two guys in trenchcoats pulled out their pool cue cases. They had them under the coats to protect them from the rain. They never even saw us and went towards the back.

We all go: "Oh okay, not a problem" We then saw everyone else in the group staring at us with wide eyes. Sorry honey, it's kind of a habit.:D

It sure does seem like people like telling everyone else what you do. Especially me, I try to be a little more quiet about it. You never know, and I don't like it publicly advertised.

It really depends on what type of person you are talking to. I usually tell them what I do and sometimes I tell them that I work in the government. Although that is very rare, and I am upfront about the job.

Sure hope the officers weren't drinking at the time! That's a pet peeve of mine; not only against the law.

Depends on who's asking. Usually I just said I worked for the city. If they pressed it, I might or might not tell them, again depending on who they are. In bars I usually said I drove a dump truck.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
