Like a lot of people, I have problems with my sinuses. My symptoms are fairly mild, but in the winter they are persistent enough that I have finally decided to go see a doctor after trying every over the counter sinus medication known to man. I have an appointment this week and I was reading up on sinus conditions (normally referred to as sinusitis) and what treatments doctors use in treating sinusitis. One of the common medications doctors prescribe is a prescription nose inhalent that uses some kind of steroid. This is the element that has me slightly concerned. I realize that we obviously aren't talking illegal steroids here, but is this still something I want to avoid? I'm worried that maybe it would show up as a red flag on my medical examination. My symptoms are not real severe so if this could pose a potential problem I would just stick to the over the counter medications. But if it wouldn't be a problem, I would love to try and get rid of my symptoms for good. In case it matters, I have applied to the NYPD and Westchester police department.
sorry for being overly paranoid, but since my appointment is this week, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. sometimes it is better to be safe then sorry. and if anyone else suffers from sinuse trouble, then please let me know how you deal with!![]()
