Regular vehicle patrol: Safariland high gloss (PATENT leather).

    Bike patrol: Bianchi accumold nylon.

I like my leather better as far as looks. I like the nylon because of comfort. The leather seems to be more durable and seems to hold your weapons more securely.

I don't have a choice, like RP said, you wear what they give you.

My last department issued leather. It has to be worn if you are wearing the class A uniform. You can buy your own nylon and use it when wearing the class B & C uniform.
The nylon was much lighter than the learther, but like michiganstud said the leather looks better.
How come your house has wheels and your car doesn't?

    Nothing sounds like leather either.....

Tell me about it. We used to wear leather, now we're wearing this imitation Bianchi Accomold pleather crap....
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

We have a choice of nylon or basketweave. IMHO the leather looks more professional and lasts much longer.
