Truck routes and general truck enforcement

I know of at least one police officer on here (mcsap) that does truck enforcement, but does anyone else here regularly pay attention to trucks driving on non-truck routes, or trucks having insecure loads? How large are the fines in your area for each violation?

I'll just say that I put more big rigs out of service for brake violations ( 60%) than for any other offense. A typical 5 axle tractor trailer has 2 brakes per axle or 10 brakes. If 20% ( 2 ) of them are either out of adjustment, not working or have some other serious problem, they sit or get towed.

The fines are $600 PER individual brake vio. I usually write every other brake vio ( since I am a nice guy) which means that I usually write $1,200 tickets , some have been more. Some companies are repeat offenders and need the financial "slap up side their head" to get the message.

Usually CHP commercial enforcement takes care of that for us...
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

Where I work we have two Highway Patrol weight stations that are in my venue. We can issue summons for about 99% of the things they can as far as CMV violations go. The only thing we can not do is place a truck out of service. We normally work hand in hand on CMV enforcement due to the high number of violations that are found / and the high number of trucks that run or bypass the station. Some of our CMV fines are as follows:

Fail to stop CMV at open weight station-$228.00
    Unsafe brakes-$358.00
    Unsafe suspension-$358.00
Operated CMV on bridge over weight limit-$378.00
Log book violation (over hours/no entry)-$228.00
    CMV over length or width-$188.00
Operated CMV while declared out of service-$278.00 + arrest+tow the truck
Over weight-$208 for 1ST 1,000 lbs and $10.00 per every 100 after that (up to $500.00)
Mcsap are you Hwy Patrol or Muni?
