    Harassment and disorderly conduct

My Husband is recieving gross misdemeanor charges for "harassment by stalking and disorderly conduct" in Benton County, Minnesota.
He won't tell me what is going on with it. I do know some woman called the cops on him. He says it was for flashing his headlights excessively during the day at her.
What do you think? Are these charges a little excessive or do you think that there is more to the story.
He is taking this all the way to jury trial.
Help, do you think that there is more er what?

Yep, WAAAYYYY more to that story than you're being told. Takes a lot at least in CA to bring a stalking charge. Sounds like he was calling someone a lot or even following them around to their home/work.

For the disorderly conduct, it doesn't sound like headlights where the object of his choice to be flashing.

I'd sit him down and tell him to come REAL clean before that jury trial. Otherwise, it's going to come out anyway and you won't be hearing it first hand from your husband, it will be from victims and witnesses.
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

Maybe you better confront your husband.

I am not trying to be mean, just objective, but it's looking like he may have a girlfriend that does not want him around anymore.

If I work a stalking report, its usually because a romantic relationship went south and one party can't let it go. Showing up at the other parties home, or work, or driving by when they really have no business to do so.

I hope I am wrong in your case.

Stalking is not something that "just happens". If I may be so bold, I would like to point out the fact that him not even giving you the details of the incident in question should be a big red flag to you about the status of your relationship. That said, follow it backwards and realize that there are probably OTHER things he is not telling you about, like the woman he was stalking.

Stalking/harassment charges in TN require the actions to be repetitive. You don't just receive these charges for an isolated incident of flashing some headlights. The actions of your husband has to occur more than once. He is lying his a** off in my opinion. Good luck ;)

Yeah, the flashing of headlights could be the signal to see if the coast was clear. :D

On the money !! Stalking is a little more than daytime headlight flashing.
