I just dropped off my applications to my local LE departments and totally forgot to ask about age limits. I am 33 and female. Do your departments have age restrictions? I did a search and didn't come up with much.

WOW! Thanks! I remembering interviewing with FEDS and I think they had age 35 as a cut off! This was pre 9-11 and I was 24 and a recent college grad and they didn't have anything in my area at the time. :(
I am sooo excited about finally acting on my secret dream career. Family will be scratching head, but those who are close to me are like...Yeah GIRL that's totally YOU!
Now the only thing I am stressing is getting back in shape and nursing a bad knee...just need to hit the pavement and weights.

We had someone start in their late 30's. As long as you can pass all the physical test, you should have no problem.
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

I know officers who have started their LE career in early 50's. Only limit is to have a vested (5yr) status before age 60. Some of their backgrounds were:
ex-police chief (ret) from another state, retired Marine Sgt Major, USAF Command Pilot, former grocery manager, etc.One common point, all in good physical shape, non-smokers, positive attitude.

Thanks Bear! Appreciate the comments from all! Someone was shocked that I was a mom yesterday at my son's school. They thought I was just 22...Heehee....I will be 34 in December and was beaming with delight when I heard that one
