    Design Project

    Hello,

My name is Andy Tildsley. I am currently studying Design Technology BSc at Staffordshire University, UK. As I am in my third and final year, I have been asked to undertake a final year project. Since my father is a serving police officer with the Greater Manchester Police, I was hoping to link the police to my project.

I was thinking of investigating either any design failures or improvements that could be made in any form of police equipment. As I am currently at the research stage of my project, I would love any input from anyone with regards to my assignment (ideally from a current/retired police offcier but not essential).

If you have any thoughts I would love to hear from you.

    thanks for your time

    Andy Tildsley

Hmmm..not sure if this is what you're looking for. But how about a more flexible vest which offers the same if not greater type of protection. There are certain areas that are exposed on at least my vest which would be nice to be covered up somehow. Just a thought, not sure if this is what you were looking for.
Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

I agree with 'JD45' on the vest issue, furthermore, look into the current holsters that most LE use.......there are 3 threat levels, could you possibly design a better holster(for uniform use, or under cover work?)
