I have made it so ONLY Verified Law Enforcement Officers will be able to answer questions now in this forum. The original poster can reply, but non-Verified LEO's will not be able to respond. This was done for a couple of reasons: 1. It will assure that your question(s) are getting answered by people who actually do the job. 2. This should minimize the thread getting off topic and remain more professional. Also, the old Ask A Cop threads were merged in this section so will have responses from non-LEO's; but new threads and responses can only be answered by LEO's.
Officers who want to participate and answer questions from time to time in this area can get verifed easily by pm'ing DC Law, or by clicking on the link in my signature.
