    Angry Husband's Tires Slashed

Hubby got home around 1:30 AM & noted there were some hoodlums standing around in our yard & called police & the officer came & looked around. He was threatened by them & they tried to stop him & he walked away. Apparently they slashed his tires after the confrontation. He just called the police & they're coming over to take his report right now.

What other recourse can he take? I mean, they saw which car he drives & took out their aggression on him. This is ridiculous. He talked to the front office who told him to look the other way. We're moving out when our lease expires in May, but we can't have this...it's ridiculous.

It's tough to give you good advice without knowing more about the specifics of your situation. What I would suggest is to go to the police or sheriff's office that handles your area and sit down and talk to them about what happened and what is going on.

If you find an officer who is interested, and keep giving him information, he may be able to help you.

For what it's worth, I find myself unable to not help a citizen who comes in with a complaint about crime in their neighborhood who is polite and understanding and keeps calling me with good information about what is going on in their neighborhood. I have made several good cases that started just like that.

Don't give up and don't get into it with the thugs. Let the professional thug handlers do that for you.

G9...thx so much for the advice. Yeah, it's hard posting a lot of info on the msg boards to clarify the situation. We don't live in a bad area of town, but these kids are making it crappy for the rest of us.

    Once again, thx!
