I'll keep this short. I would like to become a cop, but have been told if a person has too many tickets on their record they can not. I have 6 or 7, all minor offenses, mainly speeding, one with improper headlights, and one of driving to fast for conditions(an accident). So in other words, am I too far gone? Or can I still become a cop?

Depends on how long ago it was and the rules of hire for the dept.

Every department has its own policy on tickets. Check with the departments you want to apply with and see what they say. If they will not take you because of tickets or to many points on your record wait a few years until they come off and apply again.
How come your house has wheels and your car doesn't?

Were you suspended as a result of any of them ? Tickets are not typically a death knell to an applicant unless you get too many too close together. Equipment vio's are not a big concern but moving vio's aren't the best.

Like everyone said, it depends on the department, and how strong as an applicant you are otherwise. (I was in similar circumstances with tickets/accidents as you are, and I got hired, so it CAN happen.) Of course I haven't had anything since then, which was 2000.

CHP is probably the only department that will DQ you based upon your driving record. Someone else might be able to confirm/deny that though.
As people already said it depends on the department you're trying to get hired with.Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.
