    CA Suspicious Vehicle ..

Okay guys here is a hypotehitical story I want to see if anyhting was wrong with the picture.

Call comes in from an RP that works as a manager at best buy in California. he reports that there is a suspcious vehicle parked in the parking lot with the engine running, for over "2 hours".

K9 unit is dispatched as primary and when he arrives on scene he calls for an additonal unit. once the additional unit he shines the spotlight on the vehicle runs the plates but keeps the steady red light off (Voluntary contact? or no) He walks up and has his K9 get out of the vehicle. (would the dog be taken out?)
Officer needed to repeatedly bang on the window to wake the guy up. When the subject finally wakes up, he rolls down the window.

The officer asks for ID, Registration, and proof of insurance. and the subject states he is really tired and hands the wallet to the officer. The officer puts the wallet on the roof. Out of the wallet drops a CHP business card of his father. (thats important later on). The officer suspecting the man may be under the influence of a controlled substance asks the man to step out of the vehicle. ((WOULD This have happened. IF you found a man asleep behind the wheel would you have him step out??)) The subject refuses and states that he was just waiting for a phone call and fell asleep. (For 2 hours) He also stated that he needed to go to a job interview in the morning and needed sleep.
The officer repeats the request for the man to step out of the vehicle and the man asks why. The officer advises him that all they needed to do was to have him locate his information for the officer and to and clear up what he was doing there and he would be on his way. The subject yanks his wallet off the roof and hands the information to the officer but refuses to getout and tells him that his dad is a CHP Captian this and that. The officer responds calmly that his dad wouldn't appreciate his son giving him such a hard time and lets him know that he needed to get out.

Finally the officer reaches into the vehicle and pops the door open. Doesnt grab the subject but asks once more to step out. (WOULD YOU DO THIS?)
The subjects ends up getting out and the clear up where he was going. But he wouldbitch and moan. and just keep drilling the fact that he was taking a nap. --Now my friend who came up with this story had felt that the officer was harassing the subject and orginally had the backup unit telling the primary officer to let him go..but I seriously doubt that that would happen.. am I right?--

Anyhow so in the end the subject was really just tired with a cranky attitude. so he relased him on his way.

What do you guys thing. sorry its so long winded but it sounds realistic.

    Suspicious Vehicle call..... Okay
(Voluntary contact? or no) He walks up and has his K9 get out of the vehicle. (would the dog be taken out?)
No need to be voluntary, the Officer was investigating a suspicious person/vehicle. And the dog can legally go where ever the handler goes.
The officer asks for ID, Registration, and proof of insurance. and the subject states he is really tired and hands the wallet to the officer. The officer puts the wallet on the roof. Out of the wallet drops a CHP business card of his father. (thats important later on). He has been asked, at this point I would tell him to step out, or he would be assisted out.
Finally the officer reaches into the vehicle and pops the door open. Doesnt grab the subject but asks once more to step out. (WOULD YOU DO THIS?)
Yes, if I hadn't already arrested him for delaying an official investigation.

I agree with the above, he would have been asked out, and as soon as he didn't comply, he would have been forced out of the car.
