Nope. What does a yellow light mean? Slow down and get ready to stop. Not continue to go through the intersection.Originally Posted by jules

Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.
you can enter in a yellow light right? its sometimes safer to proceed then to slam on the brakes for people behind you
If you choose to make an court date and fight the ticket, you would need to have a reason that you feel the ticket is invalid or should be dismissed.
In you case I think you are saying that you were not going over the speed limit and when the light turned yellow that it was safer for you to continue rather then stop.
1.5 seconds into a red light is a long time and you should have had enough warning to come to a stop before the light changed. People make mistakes, and i've even done that a few times also.
If you know you can safely come to a complete stop do so, if you can't then it is better to proceed though a yellow light.
It is all upto the hearing officer from there.
The ones above me are being nice. It is clearly stated that this is not the place to ask how to get out of a ticket.Originally Posted by jules

No "Verified" is going to offer advice on how to fight a ticket. Plain and simple. It is a shunned practice.Originally Posted by jules

That is the nice part of having a board like this. There are many different views that are available. For those of us Law Enforcement Officers who choose to provide assistance to those who have questions we can do so. For those who do not want to assist, they don't have to.
As for "Verified" or not.. does it really matter if I have choses to send in a proof that I am a Law Enforcement officer or not if the information that I provide is my opinon or true to the best of my ability?
If the poster only wishes to have "verified" members reply they are able to post in the "ask a cop" forum.
Many of us are willing to help when someon has a question of what they can to to apeal a ticket or if it's even worth their time to go before a hearing officer.
He should ask a Lawyer for legal advice. I am prohibited as per my Policy, to give such. As I am sure most if not all LE Agencies advise of the same thing to their enforcement officials.

Would that not be the same information that you would provide who you had just issued a citation to and they asked what they would need to do to appeal the citation?
Or what would you tell some one who had a question on how to apeal a citation?
Talk to an attorney.

Yes it does matter as many have claimed to be LEO's just didnt want to get verified. Turns out they werent LEO's. I would suggest getting verified. There is no reason not to. The info is secure and safe and its the only way the other VERIFIED LEO's will respond to your being a LEO seriously.Originally Posted by Ranger__101

We are NOT a resource on how to FIGHT a ticket. If someone wants to ask how they are issued, points, suspensions etc that is fine.
This is a PRO POLICE site. Defenselawyer.com sounds like the place he needs to go .
