    Amber Lights in DC?

Does anyone know who can use amber lights/amber strobes/amber LEDs in DC, and for what purposes they may be used for?

my common sense would be leave the amber strobes for emergency vehicles (aka towing and such)...i dont see any problems with using amber lights/LEDs up in the front...just as its not calling other people's attention...use only red in the back...

lol sorry...thot ask-a-cop 1 was the one which only LEOs could respond...im pretty sure this is true and that ask-a-cop 2 is which other people can also respond...

DCLaw...i would assume decorative purposes? I see 18wheelers with lotsa decor amber LEDs...so i would imagine gettin pulled over for equipment violation (obscure reason) if you try to pull that with a reg passenger vehicle

My bad they went and switched the ask a cop and ask a cop 2 but the rules inside are the same.

What I meant was, I have a Visor LED light, and I want to know if I can use it in DC, and for what purposes can I use it. Some states(NC) have no law preventing anyone from using them in normal traffic conditions.

I am a memeber of an emergency radio communications group, monitoring for traffic problems, disabled vehicles, etc... Here in VA I have had no problem using the light in traffic to respond to a call. I am not exercising any traffic priviliges, just driving normally like any other driver.
