when do you read someone their rites........I was whatching COPS a couple nites ago and they did not read the girl(that got arrested for domestic abuse) her rites.....so when do you read them thier rites......

And DC, when he said "rites", I think he was referring to the "rites" that were read to Chevy Chase in Fletch. You know, "you have the right to have your face punched in by me, you have the right to have your ba##$ crushed by him". Not surprisingly, Fletch waived his rights!!! :D
