Do you know if there is anyplace on the internet where you can take courses related to criminal justice? I have seen sites that offer cd courses on specific topics but they are available to current law enforcement officers only.

Kaplan college offers Criminal Justice and it's very easy to sign up. They have classes starting in October. Just do a search for Kaplan College. Sorry I don't have the link.

If I understand your question correctly, there are a lot of colleges out there that offer online courses, likely including CJ courses, via online. I think it is only a matter of doing some serious surfing and finding the colleges/courses you are looking for.

I am certain there are likely some courses out there specifically restricted to LE personnel only that are also available over the internet. I am currently not aware of any courses that are more-a-less designated specifically for LE personnel that any other person can take as well.

Of course, there is likely something out there I may not be immedaitely aware of that fits the criteria you seek. Again, it may be a matter of doing some surfing. As a suggestion, have checked with, for example, officer.com to see if they have anything there that might help you? They typically have a lot of links to a variety of sources.

You can go to www.kyvu.com look at their couses and you should find what you are looking for. im sure alot of the others on here are good as well.

You can get your ENTIRE Associates Degree in CJ online from Lansing Community College.

OR ...

You can do ~40 credit hours online, then attend the Mid-Michigan Police Academy (not live-in) for the final ~24 credit hours. The main campus is located in Lansing, MI and the academy is fairly close by.

Check your local colleges. They should offer courses online. Sometimes although a course is not specified as being an online course the teacher will have the option of making it an online course or not (as they did with my hazmat classes). The colleges the others are listing are popular. Ive seen advitersiments for their courses all over the internet.
