What are the laws about this. I think I read somewhere that its ok if you don't go over 15 MPH. But if anybody could clear it up, that would be great. thanks.

You have to be over the age of 12 to ride in the bed of a pick up in LA.

LMAO...in every state is different, but here in the Virgin Islands there are really no rules. You would laugh your *** of if you knew how this place works. First of all, I saw a towtruck pulling a vehichle with two passengers in it (the kind that is cranked up either on the front or the back). I don't know how these guys managed to do it, but they did sit in the two front seats(looking downwards) while they were towed. There are not really any restrictions on drinking and driving except....if you do drive under the influence and you do hit another motorist, it is mandatory that you give that person a ride to wherever they need to go on the island if you have damaged their car. The legal drinking age makes that one even more scarier. So, as far as the back of a pickup truck.....not a problem in this territory. LMAO....again.

Here in Kansas it is illegal to ride in the bed of a pickup, period. The only exceptions are if you are an adult, officially engaged in doing your job (like delivery people or utility workers, etc).
Were in Kansas are you from?
