the cop was a total jackass. He said I was doing 90 in the 25mph zone, but I was only doing 84. Like wtf? And he wasn't even wearing sunglasses. I read somewhere that tickets can be thrown away if cops don't wear their sunglasses?
Anyone hear of this before?

That depends. Here in Maine, they only throw the tickets away if the cop wasn't wearing sunglasses on the eve of the Vernal equinox. And then, that's only if there is a full moon the following evening.
But you had better check local laws just to be sure.
