    Could this guy be arrested?

When I was camping this idiot was putting gas on his fire and he did it bunch of times(flames were getting ten feet off the grill). The rangers didn't do anything and i would have called the police but my cell didn't pick up out their. But if I could have called the police, could the arrest him and what for?
Its to bad You can arrest people for being stupid.

I'm sure it depends on the burning laws at that time and the regulations in that particular park. Was it a National Park? I'm curious to know.

Ummm, no. Pouring gas on a fire isn't a crime. Now, if he was pouring gasoline on a house that was on fire, that may be different.

I happen to camp alot and as far as I know its not against the law. Now if he was to pour gasoline on his campfire and that fire became out of control and burned the park down...then yes I am sure he would be held responsible.

If open fires were banned because it was too dry, then yes he could be arrested. So could anyone there with a campfire. If his fire got out of control, then he could be liable both legally and monetarily for the expense of extinguishing the fire.

So calling the police wouldn't have done anything?

    you're no fun!!!!! ;)

Ryan, I strongly urge you to delete that post. I for one find that extremely offensive and like pimp juice said, it has no place in this forum.
