    Question What can my Gfs parents do?

    Okay so my gf is 18, im 24. SHe is from poland & has only lived here for like 7years. Her parents dont have there green cards, US citizenship, whateva u want to call it. They Hate me cuz Im older, they dont really know me @ all ive only met them once. Either way, she is 18 & is considered a Adult under US laws, right. SO her parents have threatened with sending her back to Poland, if she continues to see me. Can they do that? If she moves out of her house & we get a place 2gether, can her parents do anything to her? - she cant stand her parents, her parents are 4yrs apart in age & they are opposed to our 6yr differance. Its not like im a criminal, i dont do drugs, i have a good job. Either way yeah.. can u guys please help me out..?.

    Also her parents said they were goin to put a restarining order on me, can they do that if she is 18 & obviously doesnt want to do that? They dont want me to talk to her @ all, but she still calls me & we still talk whenever possible.

    Please Help me out.

    She's an adult at 18. They can't do anything other than call INS if she's not a citizen. Civil matter. Ask a lawyer.

    I'll tell you what...I dated a 30 year old when I was 20 and still there was way too many years between us for us to be even remotley fit for one another. And I was very mature for my age. It was just the guy who wasn't. ;)

    She is 18, if her parents try to send her back to Poland she doesn't have to go because she is a legal adult capable of making her own decisions. Also, if you two get a place together, her parents can't do any "legal" action against her.
    They can't get a restraining order without good reason. They have to show proof of why they need one, and them saying "I don't like my daughters boyfriend" won't cut it.

    Again...back when more people cared to have personal responsibility. Different raising then now a days. I also believe that at that time...79 they were both over 30? Or pretty damn close to it...Not a imature 18 year old girl who thinks she knows exactly what she wants and a 24 year old guy who thinks they have life by the balls.

    I crossed my parents ONCE on this topic...I have trusted their instincts from that day forward.

    age is just a number, pretty much.. ive dated older girls & girls my age... --- its all about maturity & personality... - whatever, thanks anyways.

    A method I use to determine if someone is too young or too old for me is as follows:

    Too Young:
    (Your Age)/2+7
    For me it is 19/2+7=16.5 I won't date anyone younger than 16.5 years old.

    Too Old:
    (Your Age)*2-12
    For me it is 19*2-12=26. I won't date anyone older that 26 years old.

    This is just a method I came up with for myself. I have found that it works good FOR ME!
