    Last Name???

    Hey,

I am trying to take this guy to small claims court over around 700$. Anyways, I have his first name, address (no phone number listed- already called Miami Springs PD), email, and cell phone number. Is there anyway from this information that I can get his last name?? Small Claims wont let me file until I have his complete name.

    His cell phone
    First Name
    Address
    Email
I have already called AT&T and they couldnt tell me anything. Called Miami Springs PD and they couldnt really help, and AOL. Any suggestions???

    Thanks,

    Jenni

You can always call the guys cell phone number and ask is this Kenny Johnson? Like pretend your looking for someone and he will probably wind up telling his last name when you say you are looking for someone that is not him. Might not be a great idea- but probably the simplest

he wont answer his cell phone. I have called him at least 30 times today, and had at least 10 of my friends call him, and he wont answer it, but yet, half the time it says that he is on the phone.

That is not a good idea, you can be charged, if you open his mail box or go through his mail. I believe it is a federal charge too.

That's a no no because it's a federal offense. You need to run a reverse directory on that cell phone. You're pretty much on your own though because most PD's/companies won't help you out here for fear of liability. You have his address, go ask one of his neighbors, maybe he has a landlord, etc. You could also email him something without him knowing it was you that he will respond to, because some people have their first/last name on their email address when they send it.
I'm thinking asking around his address is your best bet.

P.S. How do you lose out on $700 without even knowing the guys last name.

    Good luck.

i live 4.5 hours away, or else I would go to his house and talk to him face to face. I know his friends last name...the guy who i sent the money to...and i was at his house to pick up the transmission.

Call up his friend then. Look him up in the phone book.
P.S. If you are serious enough to file a lawsuit about this, the least of your hassles should be driving 4 hours to get this figured out.

One thing, never post name, phone number, address, SSN, etc on the forum. LE cannot search it in their database from this forum. Do what michiganstud and Metallic4 suggested. Or even if you cannot find his last name, the lawyer can find his last name once you file a court paper.

I would go to his house and talk to him face to face.
Confronting him is not a good idea. He may file a harrassment suit against you for going over to his house to confront him. It's wise to file a lawsuit against him and the lawyer will find his last name and fill out the court papers. And let the lawyer do his best helping you with the lawsuit.

    couple of ideas for you.

    1. Look at the public county records where he lives and see who owns his house.

    2. drive by and get the license plate number off his car. I think some states DMV's will still run plate numbers for a fee.

    3. How bad do you want the information? The mail box idea would work, but it's your butt if you get caught. But what are the odds you would get caught?

    4. Do a reverse directory check on the phone number.

How come your house has wheels and your car doesn't?

There is one: Try http://www.lawquote.com and http://lawyers.findlaw.com These two help you find the better lawyer (since you probably picked the wrong lawyer that just push you out of his door) who is willing to help you file the suit.

BTW, above these sites, they worked. I found one trusted lawyer who helped my kids' father because of financial we were in, some lawyers demanded full-cash and will not help us, some just pushed us out of their doors. But we found one who helped him and we kept his business card in case if we ever need him like he said.
