michigan resident with suspended driving in wisconsin...?

My friend is a michigan resident with michigan drivers license. He was doing 112 in a 55 last april in wisconsin and got a ticket for it. It was not a crime, just a traffic offense. Later he got a letter in the mail saying his priveledge to drive in WI is suspended and he would need to send $ 50 after the 15 day suspension to try and get it reinstated. He did not do this. I am curious if his michigans drivers license will be affected in any way or if this will follow him in any way ( yes i know he cannot drive in WI )
Ive been told that it may be considered suspended here as well but I have no clue.

Yes I know it sounds weird me asking about him LOL. I was a passenger in the car and it was stupid, I told him to slow down maybe 30 times but I do realize I could have demanded to be let out of the car ;)

At 112? I would have taken my chances on the frame of the car rather than the road he would have pushed you out into!

I do not know the law concerning this but we have a lot of Michigan Officers here who should be around shortly to answer.

How far from the Wisconsin border does he live? Does he also know that the deputies on the border in both states are sworn officers in both states? They are only 1 of a very few departments that do that sort of thing. He will be suspended in Mi I bet. He needs to slow down or stop driving all together..

Exactly... I can furnish a few of the pictures if you want to see...hmmm...

112 belongs on the track not on the highway. Lucky you (or that friend) was not killed...

Most cops around here would have put him in jail.

its wasnt me. i wouldnt lie on the internet, why ? what would be the point? i could prove it but i dont need to, i was just curious what it meant for him. ive been to enough to forums to know you'd suspect it though. im not perfect either, i got a ticket for 20 over, improper turn, and failure to stop. learned my lesson with the speeding ticket and i try to pay attention better after the others.
anyway hes 2 hrs from the border

WIsconscin will notify MI that his license is suspended. SO he might as well buck up and take care of it.

Thats close enough for MSP to shove him acorss the state line (extradite) to the agency that eventually will hold a warrant for his arrest.

Anyway to check ? He wont believe me that he could be in trouble here too, he says he'll just stay out of wisconsin. I know its not my responsiblity but I feel I ought to make him at least aware of what he is doing before he chooses to do it anyway and get busted. To be honest I think its kind of funny. Anyway I know it was stupid as yall have said. I wasnt driving but I feel partiality at fault for being in the car.

Why ??? If he stays out of WI then he isnt breaking any laws in WI is he ? Why would he be extradited.

I was thinking maybe MSP would arrest him for driving in MI if he is suspended here too. The fine is paid why would WI be involved at this point.

Have him go uo to an officer and ask him to run his license for suspension check. It's easy.

It has nothing to do with how close he is to the WI border (your original question was "How far from the Wisconsin border does he live?").

The relevant part is "how far is he from the jurisdiction that issued the ticket/originated the suspension in WI?"

If he received the ticket in Milwaukee and he's pulled over in Lansing, then Milwaukee has to agree to extradite him -- and pay the bill for doing it - which they're NOT going to do for a speeding ticket (or even a careless driving). Heck, he could be pulled over IN Wisconsin and still not be extradicted to the jurisdiction in WI that wrote the ticket, simply because it's not worth them spending the $ to do so (based on the offense and the distance and manpower required to move the offender).
