    NH...PA...Warrants....Licenses

I'll just go all out and maybe someone can help me.
I'm 18, I have no family, I've lived on my own in NH for the past 2 years.
I use to reside in PA.

I surrended my PA license to NH to get a NH license.
I'm currently suspended from driving in NH and probably have a bench warrant.
I have WAY too much in fines and they refuse to let me have a payment plan.
    I'm moving back to PA...

Did PA get some sort of notice that my license was surrended to NH to get a NH license or do they literally just throw it away.

Does my driving record (points, speeding) follow me from NH to PA.

If I drive in PA and am pulled over, is my license suspended or not....

If I was to somehow get a PA license by chance then get pulled over is my license suspended or not ( would they see my NH suspension)

If I drive in PA will they see that I have a bench warrant in NH?
If I drive in PA with a valid PA license will they see I have a bench warrant in NH....

The warrants and fines are for misdemeanors and less.
The only thing I've ever done wrong was speed.

No, they didn't throw it away, they turned it back over to Pa. Now your Pa. drivers record will show that you have an out of state license.

If I drive in PA and am pulled over, is my license suspended or not....

Yes, if you have a suspended license from another state, you are still suspended and not allowed to drive in Pa. and you will be cited.

If I drive in PA with a valid PA license will they see I have a bench warrant in NH....

You can not obtain a valid license in Pa. if you are suspended in another state. If you get stopped and your name is run through the computer, there is a very good chance that the warrant will show up.

Another person who has themselves in a fine mess...

    1. Yes, PA knows that you got a NH license because NH "told" them when you surrendered it.

    2. Your driving record from another state does not transfer from another state to PA but I will come back to this.

    3. If you have no license at all in PA and are pulled over, it will indicate that you have an expired PA license and that you had moved out of state. They will then check and find out that you are suspended in NH which means we consider you suspended here.

    4. In order to get your PA license you would have to...

    a. Lie and say you aren't suspended in NH which would mean you obtained your license under false pretenses, a misdemeanor which could cause you problems here in PA.

    b. WHen PA goes to process your license app ( and you lie and say you are not suspended) , they should see that you had surrendered your license to NH. They will check and find out that you lied. If for some reason they don't properly check, it could still come back to haunt you when they do discover it and your license will be cancelled, not just suspended.

    c. You could pay off NH and than get your license back 100% legally.

    5. We only see out-of-state warrants if they are in NCIC ( which if I had you pulled over and ran a drivers check from my in car computer , checks you automatically) and then there must be extradition approved back to NH in order to make the arrest. It depends on the type of charge on whether or not they will put you in NCIC. If someone has a stop sign ticket outstanding from Maryland and comes into PA , we will never know and if we did there is nothing we can do.

    OUT-OF-STATE violations

Points don't transfer from state to state but a suspension DOES. IF you are suspended in any other state , you are suspended here.

You NEED to get a job, SAVE your money and pay off what you owe in NH os that you can legally get your license and you life back. Running and taking risks on getting caught is not a way to live. If you get caught here, the fine is $200-$1,000 and or up to 90 days in jail. Not to mention having your car towed and that we spread the word ( locally) when we get a suspender so we can keep an eye out for them. We love our repeat offenders.

Ok, being an officer in NH here you go from our end.

NH has resoprocity with PA, so theres a 99% chance that you will not be able to drive in PA until you have met your financial responsibility, ie "paid your fines."

An electronic bench warrant issued out of a NH district court will not, and should not show up out of state as it is a query that is done on NH DMV/PD terminals from the State Database, and not NCIC.

You should talk to the court that issued the EBW if you believe you have one. The state of NH does offer payment plans on all fines, as the State of NH has a law that they can not impose financial hardship on anyone. So if all you tell them is that you can pay 50-100 a month, they can settle on that, but ask politely, dont walk in there or call and say, Hey I dont have any money I'm not paying this all up front.

Pay the fines and get it all fixed, it is only going to follow you back to PA. PA is one of those states that we have really fast resoprocity with.
