    I know im wanted....

Ok, i got a speeding ticket in California about 8 years ago, i had to go back to mexico(I have dual citizeship) so i forgot about that silly ticket, now i just found out I owe 1500 dollars and I have a bench warrant for my arrest, My question is.....If I go back to the US and get a drivers license in Texas will I get busted? do DMV records get shared between California and Texas?

How can i fix this besides paying the whole amount? it was only a 700 dollar ticket when i first got it.

Maybe you should have payed it when it was only $700! We are not here to give you instruction on how to get out of a ticket!

I bet you are suspended in CA. That will show. And the bench warrant may show. I doubt the Texas DPS will arrest you on it, because CA may not extradite, but DPS certainly will not issue a license under your conditions.

Yep, ToeKnee112 is right. There is no fix-it ticket because you ran away. It's not a "silly" ticket either. If I get a ticket, I would be glad to pay it plus court fees. And YES, Texas and California DO share the same systems even many states. You gonna come up here and face the music of the violin. And you better have a good reason why you didn't show up and pay the fines. I dunno why you decided to flee the ticket, it didn't bite you. And of course, you CANNOT get any driver's license from any state. Until you clear up the matters in your head; ticket.

Hopefully a Texas or Cali officer will confirm or deny, but you are probably suspended or revoked in California and I would imagine that you would not be able to get a Texas drivers license because of that fact. That is if Texas and California have an interstate compact to recognise each others violations.

You really should pay it, I would hate to sit until the next court date in some county jail or post some large bond and then try to get your car out the impound. That will probably be much more.

Well, depends on the court where his ticket is coming from. But he better have a good excuse of why he's fleeing from the ticket. I doubt the judge will buy the "my dog ate my ticket, your honor." Judges heard many times, same silly ol' excuses. Teehe..and Yes, we do carry high interest rate! Teehee!

Yep, paying off the ticket before it will get higher. But the judge has a list of what you can do and cannot do in order to clear up the ticket if you don't have that much monies in the banco. :D

No wonder you didn't put the story here, young boy. I understood about your dad's illness, so that is an excuse that you must take it to the judge. Still you have to pay it off soon and look good on yourself. My sympathy to your father, I hope he'll gonna be okay. Your story reminded me of my kids' dad who was ill but had a short life in 2002. He was running around until he found a private lawyer to take his place so he can visit his dad. <sigh>

Yes you can. Send a Money Order in the amount of $1500 to the court in CA.
