do they have to show me if i ask

Does any one Know if in CA a highway patrol officer has to show you your speed reading on the gun if you ask? I know he has to show you the gun but does your speed have to be locked in? He also claimed he clocked me while driving the opposite direction across the dirt medium on the 5. Does this sound bogus to anyone else?
    thanks for your help,
    bob

I bet he does not have to show you any evidence on the side of the road.

Yeah, I have never heard of any agency having to show you the radar gun. If they are they opening all kinds of officer safety issues and just asking for someone to continue to argue.
You know the difference between a job and a duty? A job you can refuse to do because it's dangerous; a duty you must do even if it is dangerous.

we are not required to show anyone the reading on mobile or stationary.....however if the subject asks to see it we show them and make note that they viewed the reading...its done out of courtesy not as policy......just another one of those warm and fuzzy things they are introducing!!
