Can a "pet peeve" cloud your judgement??

Im sure everyone has their pet peeves as far as traffic situations go. One of my biggest is when someone has a blown headlight & tries to compensate by using their high beams, blinding everyone on the road. Another one is when children arent properly restrained, ex: jumping around in the backseat or rear facing car seats in the front passenger side of the vehicle.

If you see someone doing something that personally bothers you, would you go out of your way to give them a ticket?

I really do not like it when I see a teenager driving an expensive red really fast car while speeding way over the limit and making three lane changes at once without signaling!

I am only 20 years old and I am not an LEO but this really is a pet peeve of mine because it is so careless and stupid!! I know that some teens and young adults think they are invincible and that nothing bad can ever happen to them, but this type of attitude just invites trouble--I think that I would probably go out of my way to give a ticket to a teenager or other young adult who is clearly driving with disregard to human life and believes he or she is invincible. People need to realize that cars do not get in accidents, people do because of their poor choices behind the wheel.

My partner and I each have pet-peeves. My partner hates cell phones (no hands free), changing lanes with no blinkers and spillback. I hate no seat belts/car seats, running school bus red lights and not turning when in a turn lane. Most of what we write comes from that...since we actively seek it out. But when other stuff "happens" in front of us....we deal with that.

Same here with the expired tags. I also hate radar detectors. I don't care what I stop them for, if they have a detector, they get a ticket.

ISN'T THE "I ONLY HAD TWO BEERS" THE STANDARD ANSWER OF EVERONE THAT GETS PULLED OVER FOR SUSPECTED DUI?!?!?!?

I am not a cop, but that one is one of my bigest pet peeves. That and children who are not properly fastened in the seat.

Aside from those already mentioned...one of my biggest peeves are what I call "intimidating drivers"....People that get right on your tail, and accelerate rapidly, trying to intimidate you into driving faster...these are the people that also tend to get behind you and hit their high beams because you're driving the speed limit, and they want you to join the ranks of their stupidity. I especially dislike the wanna be cops, that buy their old CV's just to spoof.

Oh wait...I forgot to mention... any car with neon lights, fart tips on their exhaust (especially Honda Civic, Chevy Cavalier, ZX2's, and others), trucks with rear spoilers, and a plethora of other things I can't think of right now... oh yeah, and anybody that has the bass in their car tuned so high that it rattles their car.
