When does police officer recruit receive uniform?

Beginning of academy? Sometime during the academy? Graduation?

Does the uniform consist of shirt, pants, badge, and duty belt? Or just shirt and pants?

We had to buy our own kahkis for the academy. A few weeks before graduation we were measured for our "real" uniforms.

I only went to one, so I dunno.

Our new officers are hired 1 day before the academy starts. They are given an allowance to buy black pants and white shirts with our patch. About a week or two before graduation , the uniforms are ordered. So , when they actaully start on the street they SHOULD be in uniform.

In the Chicago Police Academy you wear business attire the first week and the second week you wear your P.J.'s ( a blue sweatsuit with your last name on the chest)then your kackis (a tan button up shirt and your offical uniform pants) and eventually you're blues (your offical Chicago Police uniform minus the patches and star).

Yeah same here, a suite the first week and then PT gear, sweatshirt and sweatpants with a clip on name tag and city ID. We were issued I think on week 3 hand me down utility uniforms, and brand new leather gear and equipment. After week 4 we were issued our weapon, firing pin removed, so we could take it to and from work. As for the actual city uniform and badge, a few weeks before graduation well get our "real" uniforms and at graduation our badge. It's a big safety thing to have Police recruits look too much like an actual police officer.
