Let's say a celebrity made millions of dollars but ultimately realizes his/her dream was to be a police officer. Would departments accept them?

Didn't Shac or someone become a reserve?

Ernie Hudson is a reserve...(10-8 and Ghostbusters fame...)
Yeah I believe Shaquille O'Neal is a reserve. From what I understand he wants to become a full-time officer after he retires.

I see no reason why not, if they can pass all the tests in order to become a Police Officer.

I heard that they've had some problems with Chuck Norris. I guess that he has come along on some of the warrant raids. The liars--err, I mean lawyers--of the people being arrested say that their client cannot get a fair trial, since juries will unconciously believe that anybody being arrested by Chuck Norris is automatically guilty. I just always wondered... If I won several million dollars in a lottery. Would the Sheriff let me buy my own patrol car?A Diablo would work just fine.
