Cadet Testing

What can cause them to cut you from the cadet testing? Mainly the ? is about the liedetector test, im 19 and iv never been arrested never got a ticket but i have done somethings wrong that i didnt get caught for if i admit these things if the ?'s come up will that totaly blow my chances? i also have been behaving myself since high school.

ummm...its all a little more complicate then just that, but in a nut shell, they will want to know about any & all trouble you have gotten into,normally from birth to now, they are of course mainly interested in anything that is on record or that is a felony..even if you were not caught. The catch here is, if you do not admit directly to it prior to the poly during the questionare or BI, they will ask you while your hooked up, "if you lied or decieve them on any proceeding answers?" & you did, you will probably then fail that question. If your smart & admit to everything up front, this could DQ you before you get to the poly, but on the otherhand it may not. I would imagine if they are really bad, you shouldnt be applying anyway. Yes, its a no win situation, but thats the whole point, play it smart & should you get to that phase, be honest & you will have the chance to explain these concerns of yours, if your poly comes back with too bad readings, your done & thats that. At worst case, you may simply have to wait a few years or more until these issues are further behind you, I think many depts wont accept your application until your 21yrs old anyway. Good Luck.
