    Arrow Concerts

    Hi all,
I host and help host concerts here in N. Michigan and I was just wondering if police officers could be hired or asked to attend these shows either undercover or in uniform as we have had some serious violence and alchohol issues. If something isnt done we wont be able to rent places for shows and no one will want to attend them. I figure this is a much better alternative to just taking the law in our own hands and beating the friggin bejezus out of these people.
    Thanks,
    Saonagi
P.S. we would hire security but it hasnt helped in the past as they cannot lock up the people and keep them out of the premises.

I am working Security at the CCR Revisited concert in Port Huron on the 25th of this month. I work a lot of ther big local events on my down time to make extra money.

Security can work if you hire decent one. They can arrest for crime committed in their presence and if they are hired by you and not contracted through a company then they will have a little more leway. Where and when is this concert???

NYPD has a program where you can get uniformed officers. No plain clothes allowed. The officers get $30 p/h, Sgt.s get $38 and Lt's get $44. NOt bad but you are considered a "private contractor" and need to claim it at the end of the year and pay the taxes.

We have extra jobs that come through the department all the time. Minimum $25 per hour, usually $35. Bars (parking lots), special events, etc. You should be able to contact your local department and ask them.

I'd be happy to come from the left coast. I will even bring a tool we used to use in the '70's for out of control concerts. It's called a pepper fogger. Ah, what a crowd pleaser.

Sweat, please do, and if you feel the need to beat the living hell out of someone with your maglite I promise that no one will have seen it

for legal purposes: I do not condone beating the crap out of stupid drugged out assholes especially when your an officer even if they are begging for it and no one would be a witness. The fact that NO ONE WOULD TESTIFY AGAINST YOU does not meen it is ok to BEAT THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF THEM, or to KICK THEM WHILE THERE DOWN. :D
